About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide superb customer service to patients and staff
  • Support the office independently and with minimal supervision
  • Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice
  • Schedule appointments and additional physician-directed testing
  • Compile required patient paperwork for daily appointments
  • Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into Practice Management
  • Review and enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
  • Scan driver’s licenses and insurance cards into Ntierprise
  • Obtain, scan, and link required referrals to appointments in Practice Management
  • Reconcile daily payment batches and submit them to the Site Manager
  • Schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
  • Assist patients with the Phreesia registration system
  • Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of front office experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • 1 - 2 years of customer service
  • Excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 Codes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer software and database skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable asking probing questions to patients
  • Caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Multitasking and proactive problem-solving
  • Ability to type 40 Words Per Minute
  • Ability to travel to other sites as necessary
  • Successful candidates subject to a pre-employment background check
