About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care
- Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience
- Float across Nassau/Queens locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License
- At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required)
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with EMR is a plus
- Reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 5/8.5 hour shifts
- Required hospitals: Winthrop Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital, North Shore University Hospital
