About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Urology practices by providing clinical support to patients and nursing staff in accordance with established professional standards
- Travel to northern Astera Urology locations as needed
- Ensure and maintain the dispensing area, including refrigerator temperature logs and cleanliness of counters, hood, and stock mixing area
- Maintain the nucleus system and medication inventory through sign out, return, and restock functions, including nucleus reports
- Order medications, calculate vials needed, and return medications when applicable to maintain proper inventory pars
- Prepare labels and calculate volume required to prepare doses
- Calculate infusion rates and be familiar with regimen name, frequency, and cycle number
- Compound therapies following mixing guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- IV admixing required
- Previous experience in Urology preferred
