About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support contracts, regulatory research, policy development, and compliance reviews across active initiatives
- Work at the intersection of financial services regulation, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and marketing compliance
- Work alongside Legal & Compliance team members and Product, Risk, Privacy, Marketing, and Business partners
- Sit in on contract reviews, compliance meetings, privacy reviews, and policy discussions
- Support contract drafting and review
- Conduct regulatory research
- Help develop and update policies, including privacy notices and AI governance frameworks
- Assist with compliance reviews and cross-functional projects
- Support data privacy assessments involving CCPA/CPRA
- Support AI and machine-learning governance reviews
- Support marketing and advertising compliance reviews involving TCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, and claims substantiation
- Attend professional-development workshops and networking events
- Receive guidance from a manager and dedicated mentor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current law student
- Interest in financial services, regulatory, data privacy, artificial intelligence, or marketing and advertising law
- Coursework, clinic, or project experience touching financial services regulation, data privacy law, AI or emerging-technology regulation, or advertising and marketing law
- At least one previous internship or clerkship, or substantial personal or academic projects
- Available for a full-time, 8-week program running June 21 - August 13, 2027
- Available to work in the New York City office at least 3-4 days a week throughout the entire program
- Act-like-an-owner mentality and ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication of ideas
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
