About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Extend business functions in purchasing, goods receipt, orders/calculation, and time management
Develop document-import pipelines for OCR and structured e-invoices, including error handling and idempotency
Integrate AI features into the product, including AI chat tools, context preparation, token and cost efficiency, auditability, and MCP integrations
Use AI in development for pipeline review automation, agent tooling, and cost control
Reconstruct root-cause chains of production customer errors from support tickets, debug bundles, stack traces, and error monitoring
Analyze state-dependent and timing-dependent error patterns
Optimize performance through profiling and identification of N+1 patterns
Convert performance issues into SQL aggregates when needed and improve UI blocking, startup times, and refetch-versus-refresh strategies with measurable proof of improvement
Support runtime and library migrations
Develop build and CI processes
Implement targeted contract tests to prevent field failures
Document analyses clearly in the repository

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software development experience, or fewer years with demonstrable equivalent depth
Strong object-oriented programming skills, especially responsibility separation, data modeling, concurrency, and state management
Experience with Java, C#, or C++; willingness to quickly learn Java if coming from another object-oriented background
Desktop/UI experience with event and listener chains, UI-thread discipline, renderer and display performance, and window lifecycle
Experience with Swing, JavaFX, WPF, or comparable frameworks
Experience working with mature codebases and large systems without comprehensive test coverage
Ability to read third-party framework source code and keep changes local and backward-compatible
In-depth SQL/RDBMS knowledge, including schema design, execution plans, index evaluation, N+1 detection, complex joins, and aggregates
Strong debugging and evidence-based problem-solving skills, including non-reproducible errors
Willingness to work on customer cases and analyze tickets and debug data
Careful and confidential handling of production and customer data
