About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the monthly accounting close, ensuring accurate trial balances, balance sheets, and other financial statements.
  • Manage revenue recognition in accordance with CPC 47 / IFRS 15.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
  • Integrate systems and data tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Incorporate artificial intelligence into variance analyses, reconciliations, and journal entry reviews.
  • Develop analyses, KPIs, and dashboards using SQL, BI tools, and spreadsheets, in partnership with FP&A.
  • Prepare reports, analyses, and recommendations to support leadership and the board.
  • Advise business teams on the accounting implications of products, contracts, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead internal and external audits, support due diligence, and address investor reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with CPC/IFRS standards, internal policies, and governance best practices.
  • Lead, develop, and engage the Accounting team.
  • Establish goals, monitor results, and strengthen collaboration and high performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Product teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CRC registration.
  • Strong experience in accounting close processes and the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Experience in technology companies, startups, fintechs, or digital platforms is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of CPC/IFRS accounting standards, especially CPC 47 / IFRS 15.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Experience conducting and overseeing external audits.
  • Knowledge of intercompany processes, financial statement consolidation, and/or managing external partners (BPO).
  • Analytical, data-driven profile with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with SQL and BI tools for building analyses and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence and automation tools applied to accounting processes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business-relevant insights.
  • Strategic mindset, organization, autonomy, and results orientation.
  • Intermediate English proficiency is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of the Sankhya system is a plus but not required.
