About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate compliance activities aligned with TEQSA requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF)
  • Support provider registration, re-registration and course accreditation activities
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, reports, notifications and compliance documentation
  • Manage the Institute's policy framework, including policy reviews, registers and document control processes
  • Provide secretariat support to the Academic Board and governance committees, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute-taking and action tracking
  • Maintain governance records, risk registers and committee documentation
  • Support quality assurance, audit and continuous improvement initiatives across the Institute
  • Report to the CEO
  • Work closely with senior leaders, governance committees and key stakeholders across the organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years' experience in a compliance, quality assurance or governance secretariat role, ideally within a TEQSA-registered higher education provider or RTO
  • Sound working knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 and TEQSA's regulatory approach
  • Strong policy writing, records management and risk register maintenance skills
  • Experience providing secretariat support to a Board or Academic Board, including minute-taking and Terms of Reference administration
  • High attention to detail and ability to independently manage multiple statutory deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build effective relationships with academic, governance and operational stakeholders
