About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a high-impact analytical resource for onX’s CEO, CFO, and Senior Director of FP&A
Lead end-to-end analysis on special and ad hoc projects focused on operational and business performance
Identify trends and anomalies, construct narratives, and deliver clear recommendations
Perform financial modeling and analysis for organic and inorganic growth opportunities, new business lines, pricing strategies, and operational investments
Manage projects involving market sizing, scenario modeling, and long-term strategic opportunity assessment
Develop and stress-test business cases for major strategic initiatives
Independently source, extract, and manipulate data from internal and external sources using tools including Tableau, PitchBook, and Amplitude
Partner with Business Intelligence to build scalable data pipelines, improve data accessibility, and inform analytical infrastructure development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical field
Six (6) or more years of experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a related analytical function
Advanced SQL proficiency, including writing complex queries, joining multiple data sources, and extracting insights independently from large datasets
Strong financial modeling capabilities, including scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, DCF, and ROI frameworks
Experience working directly with or embedded near a Business Intelligence or data engineering function
Experience evaluating M&A opportunities and/or conducting deep strategic business and market analysis, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and investment or growth opportunity assessment
Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments with minimal direction, structure problems from scratch, and drive actionable conclusions
Exceptional written communication skills and experience producing narrative-format analyses and recommendations for senior leadership
Comfort presenting complex analyses to C-suite and senior executives, handling pushback, and adapting on the fly
Desire to learn and actively leverage AI tools to improve analytical speed and quality
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Experience in a B2C SaaS or subscription business is strongly preferred
