About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with strategic startup customers as a technical thought partner to build novel applications on OpenAI's API
- Guide customers from ideation through development, delivery, scaling, and production
- Provide proactive technical guidance to maximize business impact and accelerate application development
- Experiment and prototype alongside customers
- Contribute to open-source resources and scale the function by sharing knowledge and codifying best practices
- Publish useful resources
- Synthesize and deliver product and model feedback to Product and Research teams
- Build relationships within the startup ecosystem and serve as a technical partner to customers and the broader community
- Partner with Sales across startup accounts to identify opportunities, align technical work with business goals, and help customers bring AI applications to production
- Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Applied Research, and Product teams
- Report to the Startups Applied AI Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mandarin-speaking ability is required
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent
- Experience in a startup environment ideally; founder or founding engineer experience highly valued
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
- Strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices
- Experience building and/or delivering prototypes on the OpenAI API platform
- Ability to identify opportunities to maximize customer business value through the OpenAI API
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and acquire missing knowledge as needed
- Ability to drive multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work from a local office three days per week
- Authorization to work in Singapore is required by the application form
