About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and manage data pipelines
Integrate user event data into the data warehouse
Develop canonical datasets tracking user growth, engagement, and revenue
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research teams
Implement robust and fault-tolerant data ingestion and processing systems
Participate in data architecture and engineering decisions
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry and company standards
Collaborate with researchers behind ChatGPT and help train new models

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience as a data engineer
8+ years of software engineering experience, including data engineering
Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java
Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop and Flink
Experience with distributed storage systems, such as HDFS and S3
Expertise with ETL schedulers such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar frameworks
Solid understanding of Spark
Ability to write, debug, and optimize Spark code
Ability to work from the US office three days per week
Authorization to work in the country where the job is located
