About the role

  • Lead readiness, onboarding, adoption, and change management
  • Track progress and manage dependencies
  • Make sequencing decisions and drive 0→1 prototypes through MVP and scale
  • Share field insights with Product and Research to guide roadmaps and priorities
  • Own technical delivery plans for multiple interdependent work streams, including milestones, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
  • Drive delivery across OpenAI FDE and customer teams and protect the critical path
  • Shape tools and integrations and translate requirements into delivery plans
  • Partner with Product and Research to align platform and research work streams with deployment goals
  • Codify solution patterns and evaluations and package field signals to improve products and models
  • Set impact hypotheses, baselines, and KPIs; measure pre- and post-deployment results and report to executive sponsors
  • Shape how OpenAI engages Financial Services customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership
  • Expertise in the Financial Services industry
  • Track record leading large, complex, high-stakes customer engagements with tight coordination and fast decision-making, ideally involving AI
  • Ability to excel in high-ambiguity environments and simplify complex, dynamic work
  • Ability to move between system-level understanding and execution-level detail
  • Ability to understand customer workflows/data, map constraints, sketch architectures, and move ambiguous problems to shipped systems
  • Strategic thinking and pattern-matching ability
  • Strong technical fluency and sequencing judgment
  • Experience discussing technical details, pressure-testing architectures, and making trade-offs
  • Experience shipping AI/LLM systems
  • Understanding of solution patterns, integration basics, and production pitfalls
  • Executive presence and ability to translate complex technical trade-offs for business leaders
  • Willingness to be onsite with customers often 25–50%, sometimes higher
  • Ability to work from the NYC office three days per week
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
