About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with permitting and community-engagement teams to understand local concerns and support project progress
Support press and storytelling around community engagement projects in local data center communities
Craft and scale communications narratives around operating principles as infrastructure footprint expands
Develop narratives and communications explaining projects, energy needs, and policy positions to stakeholders
Connect policy, communications, and project teams so messages and actions reflect development needs
Build alignment across teams, influence decisions, and resolve issues spanning policy, communications, and development
Develop creative communications and channel strategies with Public Affairs teams for integrated initiative execution
Help shape energy policy approaches supporting data center development
Translate policy considerations into practical recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex issues clear to different audiences
Practical experience crafting a positive narrative for the data center industry
Track record of influencing across teams and taking ownership in ambiguous situations
Experience supporting public meetings, events, and announcements
Experience managing social media messaging and campaigns
Media training and experience working with senior leadership to prepare for media
Experience in energy policy and ability to connect policy decisions to infrastructure development
Preferred: experience running a high-stakes media campaign
Preferred: experience supporting data center development or comparable energy and infrastructure projects
Preferred: experience with policy communication, such as energy policy
Ability to work from the US office three days per week
