About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow a team of Forward Deployed Engineers delivering production systems with frontier models
  • Own end-to-end delivery outcomes through clarity, speed, coordination, and technical quality
  • Codify effective practices into tools, playbooks, and roadmap inputs
  • Raise early indicators related to product behavior, customer environments, or delivery practices
  • Use judgment to distinguish what requires action
  • Set a high performance bar and support team members’ growth through direct, actionable feedback
  • Define staffing and support models for scalable field teams
  • Partner with Product, Research, Sales, and GTM to inform roadmap priorities, drive exploration, and support safe deployment at scale
  • Travel up to 25%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of engineering or technical delivery experience
  • 2+ years managing high-performing FDE or customer-facing engineers
  • Experience leading high-pressure technical projects from prototype to production
  • Ability to write and review production-grade code across frontend and backend using JavaScript or Python
  • Ability to simplify complex work and make fast, sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to operate with urgency in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Ability to translate field experience into actionable feedback for Product and Research
  • Ability to build trust with a team by modeling calm, focus, and judgment
  • Ability to work from the NYC office three days per week
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
