About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set research strategy, priorities, and goals for a major business area
  • Define, prioritize, and lead multiple complex quantitative and qualitative research workstreams
  • Partner with brand, product marketing, creative, product, and other teams to shape business strategy and goals through insights
  • Address challenges involving new audiences, brand evolution, product-suite positioning, and experience improvement
  • Connect primary research with behavioral data and other evidence in partnership with analytics colleagues
  • Translate complex findings into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leaders
  • Set technical and quality standards for research design, execution, analysis, and interpretation
  • Oversee work delivered by agencies and vendors
  • Develop reusable frameworks and foundational research
  • Mentor experienced researchers and cross-functional peers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of experience in mixed-method market research and data analysis
  • Deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Track record of setting research strategy and independently leading multiple complex workstreams across a substantial business area or cross-functional initiative
  • Strong judgment in ambiguous situations, including identifying the right questions, prioritizing competing needs, and choosing methods supporting consequential decisions
  • Hands-on expertise across the full research lifecycle, including instrument design, sampling, weighting, statistical analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrated success synthesizing evidence from multiple sources into recommendations influencing senior leadership and marketing, product, or business strategy
  • Experience spanning product or go-to-market research, positioning and messaging, brand strategy, campaign development, and tracking
  • Experience conducting global research and managing agencies or vendors
  • Experience establishing research standards, developing reusable frameworks, and mentoring experienced researchers or cross-functional peers
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis and survey programming
  • Willingness to experiment with AI tools to improve work quality, speed, and impact
  • Ability to work from the US office three days per week
  • Authorization to work in the country where the job is located
