About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect and build purchasing and subscription experiences across native mobile, mobile web, and supporting product APIs
Partner with Product, Design, and Growth to identify customer needs and shape technical direction
Improve conversion, performance, and reliability through experimentation, product analytics, and customer insights
Develop reusable purchasing components and capabilities for launching and monetizing new products
Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners on reliable purchasing experiences and product launches
Lead initiatives from exploration and technical design through implementation, launch, and ongoing operation
Set engineering standards and provide technical leadership through hands-on development, design reviews, and mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need

Staff-level or beyond technical ownership, including architecture and substantial cross-team initiatives
Deep expertise in iOS or Android
Track record of shipping and operating production mobile applications
Professional experience contributing to frontend web or backend development
Strong engineering fundamentals and product intuition
Experience with performance, reliability, product analytics, and experimentation
Experience working across platforms and making technical tradeoffs
Experience in e-commerce, growth, checkout, subscriptions, or mobile monetization is particularly valuable
Experience with app-store billing integrations and mobile release processes is valuable
Ability to work from the US office three days per week
