About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to product and marketing strategy for a defined area of OpenAI’s advertising business
  • Conduct customer research, market analysis, and competitive analysis to understand advertisers and identify opportunities
  • Develop and maintain product positioning and messaging for assigned products or features
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear narratives for advertiser audiences and use cases
  • Synthesize advertiser feedback and market insights for roadmap discussions and product decisions
  • Execute go-to-market plans from planning through launch and post-launch adoption
  • Create advertiser-facing content and sales enablement materials, including narratives, sales decks, one-pagers, FAQs, case studies, and launch communications
  • Track success metrics and assess launch and adoption performance with Sales, Partnerships, Data Science, and Analytics
  • Identify and escalate advertiser concerns and launch risks related to performance, safety, policy, and trust
  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, dependencies, and blockers
  • Document launch learnings, develop templates, and share effective practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience contributing to product marketing strategies and bringing products, features, or programs to market
  • Experience in advertising, marketing technology, platforms, data, or AI is ideal
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving in product marketing, strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, venture capital, or a similarly analytical environment
  • Familiarity with advertiser goals and the advertising ecosystem, including measurement, targeting and relevance, creative, auctions, and performance
  • Ability to synthesize customer research and market insights into positioning, recommendations, and go-to-market programs
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible customer value
  • Comfort using qualitative and quantitative evidence, including customer interviews, surveys, adoption data, and experiments
  • Ability to independently manage scoped initiatives and navigate ambiguous problems
  • Ability to build productive relationships across Product, Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, and other teams
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment
