About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define integration architecture and reusable design patterns across the supply chain technology landscape
- Build and support integrations connecting ERP and SCM systems, internal applications, e-commerce platforms, 3PLs, contract manufacturers, retailers, and distributors
- Develop workflows, APIs, event-driven services, and batch and file interfaces
- Build production Python applications, integration services, reusable connectors, and operational tools
- Implement API and EDI partner integrations, including data mappings, partner onboarding, end-to-end testing, and transaction reconciliation
- Develop MCP servers, tools, and plugins connecting AI-enabled applications to supply chain systems
- Implement authorization, validation, audit trails, and transaction approvals
- Own production reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and recovery
- Diagnose and resolve data synchronization errors, API failures, and performance bottlenecks
- Embed access controls, segregation of duties, and auditability into integration design to support SOX compliance and internal control requirements
- Partner with Hardware Operations, Application Engineers, Product Managers, IT, and business teams
- Support the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in integration development, architecture, and design
- Hands-on proficiency with at least two integration platforms, such as Workato, MuleSoft, or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Python as a primary development language
- Experience building production applications or integration services with automated testing and sound engineering best practices
- Experience in high-volume environments such as customer-facing e-commerce
- Understanding of supply chain processes behind order management, inventory, fulfillment, and returns
- Understanding of integration patterns, REST and SOAP services, asynchronous messaging, EDI, JSON, XML, and CSV
- Experience building or maintaining third-party API integrations
- Understanding of OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, pagination, retries, idempotency, and failure recovery
- Experience with AWS or Azure
- Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- Experience with microservices and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience owning systems throughout their production lifecycle
- Willingness to participate in on-call support
- Ability to communicate technical issues and business impact to engineering teams and nontechnical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and turn business needs into practical technical solutions
