About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and run a best-in-class financial reporting engine
  • Modernize reporting workflows through integration of ChatGPT, Codex, and proprietary AI tools
  • Prepare GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain rollforwards, tie-outs, and internal consistency checks
  • Partner with external auditors on PBC coordination, support quality, issue resolution, and audit execution
  • Lead close-to-reporting tie-outs and document variances
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations
  • Translate technical accounting conclusions, analyses, and audit feedback into disclosures, memos, and leadership-ready summaries
  • Identify and implement process improvements, standard templates, control points, and automation
  • Improve reporting workflows, data flows, scalability, and output quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in external reporting
  • Strong track record owning GAAP financial statements and disclosures in dynamic, high-growth environments
  • Big 4 and public company experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting and ERP systems such as Workiva and Oracle
  • Ability to automate and integrate data for accurate reporting
  • Strong track record managing end-to-end reporting and delivering accurate, audit-ready documentation
  • Proven project management and communication skills
  • Ability to simplify and clearly convey complex financial information to executives, boards, investors, and diverse stakeholders
  • Active CPA license
  • Deep technical accounting knowledge
  • Expertise researching standards, preparing technical memos, and managing complex accounting transactions
  • Background in late-stage startups or large tech companies preferred
  • Investor relations experience preferred
  • Experience with high-visibility financial events preferred
  • Interest in AI and mission-driven organizations preferred
