Key responsibilities & impact

Support strategic projects spanning transactions, capital markets activities, market research, new business model evaluations, and other business-critical initiatives
Provide occasional finance business partnership to Research, including financial planning and program funding
Create high-quality presentations communicating OpenAI’s financial performance
Distill business and cost drivers into key metrics for communicating financial performance, allocating resources, and planning for growth
Identify opportunities across the P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet
Monitor market trends and best-in-class financial performance benchmarks
Work closely with Accounting and Corporate Finance teams to build and evolve financial reporting and finance team operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or buy-side investing
Strategy and operations, business operations, or strategic finance experience at a fast-paced tech company
Strong ability to critically evaluate opportunities and risks in financials
Ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain complex analyses and influence decisions across functions
Strong ownership and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Familiarity with business models and metrics relevant to OpenAI
Enthusiasm for technology and artificial intelligence
Extensive use of AI
