About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, approach, and connect with dealerships for business development and portfolio expansion
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients within the assigned book of business
  • Facilitate seamless communication across departments to provide efficient solutions to client issues
  • Develop and maintain competitive knowledge and expertise in products, industry trends, and other developments
  • Understand and react to the competitive landscape
  • Document all customer interactions and maintain accurate records in the CRM
  • Adapt to changing priorities and provide support in unexpected situations
  • Maintain flexibility to accommodate client needs, including occasional travel within the assigned book of business
  • Acquire, retain, and grow independent dealership businesses
  • Lead acquisition efforts, meet with key accounts, facilitate regional conferences, and coach best practices
  • Provide customer service and help accounts use OPENLANE software successfully
  • Manage client relationships and deliver revenue-generating results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2 years of outside sales or business development experience
  • 2-3+ years in a customer focused, industry specific, or account management position; preferred
  • Superior communication skills, able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRM tools; Salesforce and Pipedrive strongly preferred
  • Ability to blend sales acumen, outstanding interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm to stay flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to or within assigned region, roughly 50% of the time every month
