About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop scalable, cloud-native APIs for a greenfield project
Help build a new system to replace the legacy system
Apply application development, front-end JavaScript framework, and performance-tuning expertise
Build and support production software systems
Develop service APIs using GraphQL and REST/JSON
Create front-end functionality with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
Work with SQL Server, MySQL, and SQL outside an ORM
Use Azure DevOps, agile development processes, and pipelines
Implement automated unit and integration testing
Use AI development tools to improve development speed, quality, and efficiency
Collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and platform teams
Take end-to-end ownership of system reliability and operational health

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience building and supporting production software systems
Strong understanding of software principles, OOP, data structures and algorithms
Design first, code later attitude
Passionate about technology and continues to learn
TypeScript/JavaScript for Node.js runtime or Browsers
Service API development, GraphQL, REST/JSON
React experience
SQL Server, MySQL, SQL outside an ORM
Azure DevOps, agile development processes, pipelines
Strong Git experience: branching, merging, resolving conflicts, reverts, etc.
Automated Testing (Unit, Integration)
Actively uses AI development tools (code copilots, AI debuggers, test generators)
Curious about applying AI to real customer and business problems
Able to critically evaluate AI outputs instead of blindly accepting them
University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
