About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Commercial and G&A hiring engines
  • Make hiring more proactive, predictable, and effective
  • Shape hiring strategy, business-leader partnerships, Talent Acquisition Partner development, and recruiting processes
  • Partner with department heads, Finance, and HRBPs to forecast demand, identify capability gaps, sequence hiring, and surface timing or capacity risks
  • Translate priorities into clear commitments and explicit trade-offs
  • Set portfolio strategy, allocate capacity, track progress, and adjust based on evidence
  • Ensure roles are approved, well scoped, and ready to launch
  • Hire, manage, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition Partners and TA leaders
  • Set expectations, provide actionable feedback, address performance issues, and build team judgment and skills
  • Establish assessment criteria, interview plans, calibration, timely feedback, and candidate communication
  • Bring market intelligence and compensation insights to senior leaders
  • Challenge assumptions about role scope, talent availability, and timing
  • Partner with HRBPs on organization design and Total Rewards on competitive, consistent offers
  • Use pipeline health, time-to-fill, conversion, offer acceptance, and delivery data to drive decisions
  • Partner with TA Operations on ATS workflows, reporting, playbooks, interview training, and enablement
  • Lead adoption of sourcing technology, AI, and automation
  • Work with other TA leaders on shared priorities and talent development
  • Partner with Storytelling to strengthen the employer value proposition

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading and developing an in-house Talent Acquisition team
  • Experience owning a hiring portfolio spanning commercial roles and corporate functions
  • Ability to turn changing business demand into a hiring plan and make capacity trade-offs
  • Experience earning trust with senior leaders and challenging flawed assumptions
  • Ability to move between strategy and detail, including diagnosing funnel problems, improving searches, coaching Talent Acquisition Partners, and explaining portfolio decisions to executives
  • Fluency in ATS platforms, sourcing tools, recruiting data, and practical uses of AI
  • Ability to evaluate whether workflows improve quality, capacity, or candidate experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing environment
  • Familiarity with Ashby is helpful but not required
  • Experience supporting multiple business lines or scaling a Talent Acquisition team through significant growth is helpful but not required
  • A particular company logo or degree is not a requirement
  • Must answer whether visa sponsorship is required now or in the future
