About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex, non-routine, or unresolved provider questions and requests
  • Own escalated provider requests through resolution
  • Coordinate with Credentialing, Licensing, Clinical Leadership, Quality, IT, Scheduling, and Customer Success teams
  • Operate autonomously across provider support workflows
  • Tailor responses within established policy
  • Act as the subject-matter expert on provider workflows, systems, internal ownership, and escalation paths
  • Identify patterns, determine root causes, and propose fixes to reduce repeat volume and misrouted requests
  • Refine provider support processes and contribute to runbooks, response guides, and training materials
  • Mentor Provider Support Specialists I and II with real-time guidance
  • Provide operational coverage during assigned evening and weekend hours in CST
  • Participate in scheduled OpenLoop holiday and escalation coverage
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of experience in provider support, healthcare operations, clinical operations support, or a comparable support function (telehealth experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Services Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Recognized subject-matter expertise in provider-facing operational support
  • Fully autonomous across end-to-end workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to identify patterns and initiate improvements that measurably reduce errors, repeat questions, or misrouted escalations
  • Track record of mentoring peers and raising work quality
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical operations, including credentialing, licensing, onboarding, scheduling, quality, and technology ownership
  • Ability to uphold compliance and quality standards
  • Clear written communication for providers and internal partners
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, ticketing systems such as Zoho Desk, EMR platforms such as Healthie, Okta, and Confluence
  • Experience supporting a multi-state, contracted (1099) provider network is a strong plus
  • Authorization to work in the United States
