About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, test, and learn quickly alongside the AI Innovation Lab team using AI coding tools and agents
- Ship a working feature or tool using AI coding tools, deployed and used by the lab team within the first 30 days
- Run a first user test on Mechanical Turk, UserTesting.com, or an equivalent platform, and present the findings
- Contribute to at least two full incubation cycles by building, testing, and synthesizing results for kill-gate reviews
- Build and maintain an AI agent that automates a recurring team task, such as feedback synthesis or test scripting
- Deliver an improvement to the lab’s code factory or process and document the before-and-after results
- Produce software and evidence that support go/pivot/kill decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Internship availability of 10–20 hours per week
- Ability to work on-site at OpenSesame’s office in Austin Center, Austin, Texas
- Experience building something with AI; applicants must upload one or two examples and explain what they learned
- Ability to use AI coding tools and agents
- Ability to build, test, and deploy software
- Ability to conduct user testing using Mechanical Turk, UserTesting.com, or an equivalent platform
- Ability to build and maintain AI agents
- Creativity, energy, and problem-solving skills
