About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end accounting for strategic partnership revenue programs, including revenue and expense recognition and balance sheet treatment
- Own technical accounting for the loyalty program
- Lead accounting for leases, bad debt, prepaids, and accruals across multiple OpenTable legal entities under US GAAP
- Manage close-related activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
- Organize and lead cross-functional workstreams with Finance, Product, Legal, Sales, Strategy, Operations, and AP
- Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation
- Support internal controls and guide internal and external auditors through accounting positions and evidence
- Drive process improvements through process design, system connectivity, and AI-enabled workflows
- Coach teammates, streamline processes, and communicate plans and progress
- Report to the Manager, Accounting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting
- CPA certification or equivalent technical accounting depth
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex financial modeling, lookups, and pivot tables
- Analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in public accounting or professional financial services preferred
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
- Interest or experience using artificial intelligence and automation tools preferred
