About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive Professional Services sales, revenue generation, and client success within the US Public Sector
  • Collaborate with peers across North America to achieve bookings, revenue, margin, and client advocacy goals
  • Own all Professional Services activities within the territory
  • Drive services sales and support license and cloud opportunities
  • Ensure successful solution implementation
  • Develop client solutions based on OpenText products
  • Pursue opportunity pipelines to meet quarterly booking targets
  • Negotiate services project deliverables, schedules, and costs
  • Update opportunity status in the CEM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Generate revenue within existing accounts by proposing solution realization, enhancement, and operational services
  • Manage resource forecasting, opportunity forecasting, proposal and SOW writing, approvals, and contract status
  • Report quarterly revenue and bookings accurately to the Regional Vice-President
  • Promote, identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
  • Manage Professional Services team responses to RFPs and track opportunities
  • Participate in Business Development synergy meetings and communicate account activities internally
  • Share successful strategies with peers and colleagues
  • Present to and interact with C-level executives
  • Sell Professional Services to public sector accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree or College Diploma and/or relevant IM/IT experience (10+ years) or equivalent
  • Experience selling Professional Services into the public sector (State, Local, Federal and Education)
  • Experience managing teams and direct reports, ensuring objectives are met on time and budget
  • Expertise in complex business and technical processes and their enterprise-wide implications
  • Knowledge of project management disciplines and processes
  • Knowledge of OpenText product offerings and ability to associate them with client business requirements
  • Ability to use standard methodologies to quickly evaluate and size an opportunity
  • Ability to assemble business requirements to OpenText modules and provide budgetary estimates
  • At least two years of prior experience closing and directing engagements totaling at least $1 million in annual fees
  • Experience selling to and/or working for major corporations within the United States Public Sector
  • Strong presence and confidence, professional maturity, and strong communication skills
  • At least 10 to 15 years of working experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 3–4 days per week
