About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify testing strategies
- Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated test suites for functional and regression testing
- Investigate software issues by reproducing defects, performing root cause analysis, and validating corrective actions
- Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and results to project teams
- Support release planning and go-live decisions
- Evolve the team's test automation framework and quality engineering practices
- Embed testing and validation throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of professional experience in software testing and quality engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise developing automated test solutions using Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, TestNG, SoapUI, or equivalent technologies
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including automated build and deployment processes
- Solid programming capability in Java or a comparable object-oriented language
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including creating and executing SQL queries
- Exposure to Spring/Spring Boot, Angular or similar JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, and REST-based APIs
- Experience with AWS or other cloud-based platforms
- Ability to operate effectively within Agile development environments and participate in Scrum ceremonies
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
