About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy.
Support patients referred for specialty medications by completing benefit verification and authorization activities.
Work directly with payers to understand benefit design and interpret medical policies.
Obtain required authorizations.
Communicate coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff.
Assist Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of two years of experience in Benefits Verification OR Authorizations related experience.
Must reside in either Mountain Time or Pacific Time Zones.
Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
Ability to work in a fast past environment.
High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
