About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to Option Care Health policies and procedures
- Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies
- Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, and testing, and inform supervisor of defects
- Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions
- Answer basic patient questions and respond to basic patient requests
- Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials
- Stock and store supplies and materials
- Review expiration dates and identify shortages
- Pick and pack materials and supplies
- Create tickets
- Track inventory through accurate data entry into applicable systems
- Schedule routine patient deliveries
- Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows
- Clean and organize supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience
- Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state)
- Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
- Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred
