About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process them according to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, and testing, and inform supervisors of defects.
- Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
- Answer basic patient questions and respond to basic patient requests.
- Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
- Stock and store supplies and materials, review expiration dates, identify shortages, and pick and pack materials and supplies.
- Create tickets and track inventory through accurate data entry.
- Schedule routine patient deliveries.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
- Clean and organize supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
- Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
- Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching.
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
- Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
