About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports patients referred to Option Care Health to receive Infusion Services by coordinating referrals, intake documentation, and cross-functional communication
- Partners with referral sources, sales, pharmacy, nursing, and internal teams to support timely access to therapy
- Engages with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery
- Creates, communicates, and obtains all required documentation for new referrals
- Secures patients’ upfront payment and directs patients to financial assistance programs where needed
- Supports activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including following up on missing paperwork
- Assists Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time
- Ability to work in a fast past environment
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus
- High degree of customer service skills required
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solves and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions
- Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred
