About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery
- Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals
- Secure patients’ upfront payment, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs
- Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including following up on missing paperwork
- Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of two years of related experience required
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus
- High degree of customer service skills required
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operations functions
- Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred
