About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver solo-based work or act as the point for complex projects
  • Act as technical escalation point for other consultants
  • Lead capacity planning and hardware specification recommendation efforts
  • Lead technology deployment activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, and third-party system integration
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing and bug-related engineering efforts
  • Design, implement, and educate on technology build processes, code migration, and source control use
  • Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support
  • Mentor less experienced consultants
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional associations
  • Obtain and maintain top tier vendor certification
  • Complete administrative project tasks including time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting
  • Contribute to Optiv communities for solutions of focus
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with delivery teams, practice management, client management, customers, vendor partners, and colleagues
  • Improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives
  • Review other team members’ work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Collaborate with Practice Directors, Practice Managers, and Technical Managers on training, education, career development, performance development, and team collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 5+ years’ experience related to designing, implementing or supporting Access Management and Federation solutions, or 3+ years direct Access Management consulting experience
  • Approximately 4-7 years of technical architecture experience
  • Strong understanding of Authentication, Authorization, MFA, SSO, Federation, and Directory Services concepts
  • Knowledge of formal architecture documentation processes such as UML
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ability to present information to different audiences at the correct level of detail
  • Ability to define strategic and tactical solutions and determine when each applies
  • Ability to support sales processes involving proof of concepts, demos, and proposal development
  • Ping strategy guidance experience at a programmatic level
  • Ping deep dive experience
  • Designed and implemented at least 5-6 large-scale projects
  • Java and PowerShell scripting experience
  • API driver experience
  • Python experience with API usage
  • Minimum of three years of software development and implementation of one or more Access management and federation products
  • Minimum of three years of Okta Architecture and design using the Okta platform
  • Minimum of three years of advanced MFA solutions design, including Phone-as-token methods, FIDO compliant, OAuth, OTP, and/or Mobile Push
  • Minimum of three years of strong understanding of Okta Architecture, federation protocols and SSO
  • Minimum of three years of developing or integrating federated identity solutions using SAML, OAuth, or OpenID
  • Minimum of three years of working with REST and SOAP web-services technologies
  • Minimum of three years of working with user directories and databases, including Active Directory, Oracle Directory, and Radiant Logic VDS
  • Okta certification required upon hire, or willingness to obtain it in the first month of joining Optiv
  • CISSP is a plus
