About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform Field Service activities for local Orange EV vehicles
- Diagnose and repair vehicles and provide root cause analysis
- Evaluate Remote Monitoring System data to identify performance concerns and study vehicle utilization
- Accurately record service work and develop pertinent reports
- Collaborate with customers and third-party service providers
- Provide technical support for sales and marketing efforts
- Perform field upgrades or retrofits
- Facilitate tool and parts warehousing
- Plan and execute a complete Service strategy for the region with assistance from the Service Team
- Understand the complete vehicle at systemic/component level to diagnose and repair efficiently
- Represent Orange EV professionally
- Use the Remote Monitoring System and Service Record Keeping System to determine service plans and prioritize customer needs
- Communicate with customers and third-party service providers for diagnosis, issue escalation, and efficient repairs
- Work with the site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics, cost, and timing
- Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare condition reports
- Support Customer Technicians and Third-Party Service Providers with ancillary repairs
- Provide a secure remote location for tools, parts, and other necessary items
- Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and support sales and business development
- Travel as required for initial training and to meet service team goals and customer needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred
- 1 or more years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries
- Intermediate to Advanced level experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and TEAMS
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs at waist level and occasionally up to 75–100 lbs
- Ability to squat, sit, lie under, or climb on the vehicle routinely
- Ability to handle many functions at one time and adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules
- Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them according to a schedule
- Ability to execute and follow through on instructions given by the supervisor
- Ability to articulate clearly when writing, including composition, spelling, and punctuation
- Travel as required for initial training and to ensure Service Team goals and customer needs are met
