About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own difficult product problems from initial customer conversation through the version customers use
  • Talk to customers and map workflows inside law firms and property businesses
  • Design how users work with AI agents, including handoffs, verification, source visibility, intervention points, agent questioning, and changing AI behavior
  • Develop rough, working versions and test them with real users before refining the design
  • Build and ship interface changes directly in the product using AI coding tools
  • Collaborate with product managers, product engineers, legal engineers, AI engineers, and the design team
  • Explain design decisions and create reusable rules in the codebase
  • Evolve the design system to maintain product coherence
  • Help shape design practices in a company where AI builds alongside people

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience owning and shipping product design work
  • Ability to explain the problem behind product design work, not just the result
  • Strong design excellence and product sense, including hierarchy, layout, type, copy, states, navigation and flow
  • Experience designing for expert users
  • Ability to form a view, test it with real people, and adapt based on feedback
  • Experience designing or building with AI tools
  • Interest in learning how property and legal work gets done
  • Willingness to build designs into the product using AI coding tools
  • Background screening required before starting
  • Ability to work hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the office
  • Compliance with Orbital security policies, regular security awareness training, and ISO 27001-aligned data handling
  • Desirable: experience designing AI products
  • Desirable: experience in legal tech, fintech, compliance, or another precision- and accountability-driven field
  • Desirable: side projects, hackathons, or things built outside work
  • Desirable: design systems and accessibility experience
  • Desirable: experience at an early-stage or fast-scaling startup
