About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather, compile, validate, and reconcile complex facilities and operational data from internal and external sources
  • Analyze operational, workload, financial, and performance data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Apply elementary statistical methods for trend estimation, outcome measurement, forecasting, and comparative analysis
  • Design, administer, and manage customer survey instruments; determine statistically valid samples and synthesize findings
  • Design, develop, and maintain routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, tables, charts, and graphical summaries
  • Extract, manipulate, and tabulate data using spreadsheets, databases, statistical software, and reporting tools
  • Interpret results and prepare narrative summaries, written reports, and analytical or business report sections
  • Translate complex data into leadership briefings, customer-facing summaries, and operational reports
  • Provide consultation and analytical support to Facilities leaders and managers
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations for planning, prioritization, staffing, workflow optimization, and service improvements
  • Participate in or facilitate cross-functional workgroups and committees
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for Facilities data definitions, metrics, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies
  • Support data, reporting, and system enhancement initiatives
  • Collaborate with information systems staff on new or enhanced data and reporting solutions
  • Review lower-level analysts' or support staff's reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide training, documentation, and guidance on analytics tools, survey methods, reporting processes, and data interpretation
  • Support standardization of data practices and continuous improvement of reporting workflows
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a business field and 6 months of experience that included analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience, technical writing, quantitative analysis or use of statistical principles; OR
  • Associate's degree in a business field plus two years of qualifying experience; OR
  • Four years of qualifying experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data; developing reports and written analysis; and using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools
  • Ability to resolve advanced customer service issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a diverse group of people with conflicting and urgent needs while maintaining harmonious campus-wide working relationships
  • Ability to operate multi-line phones and a two-way radio system
  • Advanced skill level with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Oracle, Project time entry, and Data Warehouse/Discoverer
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance requirements on structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, elevator, sheet metal, and grounds systems
