About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage large strategic accounts across the US
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and build strong customer relationships
- Achieve sales revenue, gross margin, and volume goals
- Generate revenue from designated strategic accounts and increase wallet share through forecasting, consultive visits, video conferences, phone calls, and other means
- Collaborate with the Regional Account Management team to grow large accounts and hand over accounts that do not meet Strategic Account volumes or complexity
- Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to increase customer business volume
- Work with senior management, inside sales, marketing, and technical staff
- Identify and grow designated strategic account relationships to achieve company sales and EBIT goals
- Evangelize BayWa’s product and service offerings and identify solutions for customer business needs
- Maintain relationships across the solar industry and attend industry-focused events on behalf of BayWa
- Collaborate cross-functionally on marketing strategies, forecasting, onboarding, and product solutions
- Support account development for the Regional Accounts team and grow BayWa’s national footprint
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers and vendors
- Monitor and report sales performance metrics, including wallet share and revenue targets
- Support regional sales team members through mentorship and onboarding training
- Report to the Director, Business Development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working with large, sophisticated accounts
- Ability to work with in-house and customer legal counsel to execute win-win agreements
- Excellent skills communicating product or service advantages to executive leadership of large organizations
- Demonstrated analytical, innovative, critical thinking, strategy, and collaboration skills
- Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels with customers and manufacturing partners
- General business planning and financial skills, including forecasting and sales planning
- Strong knowledge of industry products and services and their customer value
- Highly organized and self-directed
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- 5+ years' experience in B2B solar distribution sales with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- 3+ years' experience working with and growing wallet share with national strategic accounts in the solar energy sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM (Netsuite) software is highly recommended
- Extensive experience negotiating complex legal agreements
- Ability to fulfill the stated physical requirements
