About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out charge-up activities, including magazine management, loading, tying and firing blasts
- Follow drill and blast plans to ensure safe and effective execution
- Provide leadership and guidance to blast crew members
- Support the training and development of new team members
- Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver exceptional customer service
- Contribute to crew leadership and support complex blasting activities when required
- Act with integrity, professionalism and respect
- Champion the value “Safety is our Priority, Always.”
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced Underground Charge-Up Operator
- Current or recent Australian Shotfirer's Licence (preferred)
- Minimum 12 months' experience working within an underground charge-up crew
- Strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work effectively in remote underground mining environments
- Positive, team-oriented approach to work
