About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly with the Accounting Manager
Accurately record customer and supplier transactions in the accounting system
Monitor cash flow
Serve as a key point of contact for operational teams on financial and administrative matters
Help consolidate existing processes for the driving school business
Contribute to the development of the car and home insurance businesses
Record routine accounting transactions, including bank, supplier, and customer entries
Reconcile customer and supplier accounts
Prepare weekly supplier payment batches
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements
Record closing entries during monthly closes, particularly accrued expenses and prepaid expenses
Manage and review employee expense reports
Review accounts monthly under the supervision of the Accounting Manager
Prepare annual financial statements and assist with the audit of the accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in accounting, management, finance, or a related field
3 to 6 years of professional experience in a similar role
Proficiency with IT tools and financial management software, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills to ensure the reliability of our processes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
Experience with Pennylane is a plus
