About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Organize, plan, facilitate, and lead the squad’s activities
Develop roadmaps with clear delivery timelines and quality expectations
Lead and coordinate team members’ activities, including without direct line-management responsibility
Ensure business alignment and guarantee the squad’s delivery
Contribute to the BU’s objectives
Help maintain the production platform in operational condition
Assess, develop, and improve team performance
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and continuous improvement
Provide supportive, hands-on people management focused on performance
Unite the team around Ornikar’s vision and business challenges
Participate in cross-functional projects within the Tech team
Gather and arbitrate the needs of product squads
Build the roadmap and deliver on commitments
Contribute to the EDU department’s technical and AI vision

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least one year of experience as an Engineering Manager
Strong technical background gained through significant experience as a front-end and/or back-end developer
Proficiency in Agile methodologies
Ability to lead architecture scoping and design discussions
Ability to balance business/product priorities with technical constraints
Ability to unite a team and help its members grow
Willingness to be a doer when necessary, including solving problems and sharing knowledge
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
Authorization to work in France required, where applicable
