About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Target prospective medical providers within VA/DOD, office-based medical practices, and health systems
  • Expand business through detailed product presentations and educational content training for physicians and medical staff
  • Drive new implementations and growth within the assigned geography
  • Serve as primary point of contact for territory accounts
  • Cultivate client connections with care facilities to increase account penetration and long-term growth
  • Cultivate new accounts, particularly within government facilities
  • Maintain an active outside call schedule
  • Prospect new customers and nurture existing relationships
  • Manage the PO contracting process
  • Attain annual gross revenue and Remote Patient Monitoring patient enrollment targets
  • Bring on new prescribers and retain current prescribers
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting
  • Assess market trends and identify short- and long-term opportunities with multi-hospital health systems
  • Support strategic and tactical sales activities
  • Represent Orpyx at regionally based trade shows when required
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with key decision makers and internal corporate team members
  • Complete sales administration requirements, including sales-call documentation and expense reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Uphold quality management system requirements
  • Report to the National Sales Manager and collaborate with a cross-functional team
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required in an early-stage high-tech company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside in Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, or Virginia
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Sales/Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation training, preferably within the VA/DOD healthcare sector
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience selling to health systems, outpatient clinics, and government facilities, directly or through indirect channels
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a provocative-based sales process and approach
  • Financial/executive suite sales experience preferred
  • Proven goal-oriented self-starter with strong entrepreneurial drive
  • Affinity for working with medical/healthcare products and people
  • Ability to learn technical and clinical aspects of medical products and terminology
  • Self-directed, autonomous, and comfortable with change
  • Strong business acumen and presentation skills
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • Proven results-oriented approach and track record of successful consultative and strategic selling
  • Demonstrated understanding of the healthcare continuum and care pathway selling process
  • Comfort presenting virtually using Teams or Zoom
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
