About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Target prospective medical providers within VA/DOD, office-based medical practices, and health systems
- Expand business in the assigned Pacific Northwest geography
- Conduct detailed product presentations
- Deliver educational content and training to physicians and medical staff
- Use service-based selling, cold-calling, and consultative sales processes
- Work independently while collaborating with the National Sales Manager
- Serve as primary point of contact for territory accounts
- Cultivate client connections with care facilities to drive account penetration and long-term growth
- Cultivate new accounts, especially within government facilities
- Maintain an active outside call schedule
- Prospect new customers and nurture existing relationships
- Manage the PO contracting process
- Meet and exceed revenue and sales targets
- Attain gross revenue and patient enrollment targets for Remote Patient Monitoring
- Bring on new prescribers and retain current prescribers
- Provide accurate sales forecasting
- Assess market trends and pursue short- and long-term opportunities with multi-hospital health systems
- Represent Orpyx at regional trade shows when required
- Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with key decision makers and internal corporate teams
- Complete sales administration, including sales call documentation and expense reports
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Uphold quality management system requirements
- Assume additional responsibilities as required in an early-stage high-tech environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Sales/Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation training, preferably within the VA/DOD healthcare sector
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience selling to health systems, outpatient clinics, and government facilities
- Experience with direct or indirect sales channels
- Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a provocative-based sales process and approach
- Strong business acumen and presentation skills
- Ability to learn technical and clinical aspects of medical products and terminology
- Proven consultative and strategic selling track record
- Understanding of the healthcare continuum and care pathway selling process
- Must live within a 1-hour drive of Portland, Oregon
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
- Comfort presenting virtually using Teams or Zoom
- Self-directed, autonomous, and comfortable with change
- Strong team player and collaborator
