About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement overall sales and marketing plans and manage assigned accounts, including branch operations
  • Maintain complete Business Planning Documents for assigned accounts
  • Provide input on market development, sales promotion, distribution, and pricing policies
  • Analyze and report market trends, potentials, and sales forecasts
  • Recommend product changes aligned with JLG’s product life cycle management
  • Develop existing and new user accounts with sales personnel
  • Train distributor and/or rental company sales and office personnel on JLG products
  • Maintain effective relationships with account principals to pursue JLG product sales
  • Recommend changes and additions in distribution
  • Document competitive activity and information
  • Achieve sales targets for assigned accounts
  • Communicate with Equipment Services, Access Financial Services, and Customer Support Group
  • Develop information for JLG Management for required reports
  • Prepare reports and document minutes of important distributor meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 6-plus years related experience
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
  • Ability to work across office-based administrative duties and field or production environments
  • Ability to use computers for extended periods, sit, attend meetings, walk across various terrains or shop floors, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in varying temperatures or noise levels
  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks
  • Applicants for certain positions may need to be U.S. Persons due to ITAR or EAR requirements
