About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver sales and profitability targets while bringing Maison Margiela's brand identity to life in client interactions
  • Lead store performance across commercial results, client development, team leadership, visual and operational standards, and compliance
  • Support the Store Manager in developing store strategy and annual action plans
  • Track and communicate daily sales and KPIs, review business and product reports, and recommend actions
  • Monitor controllable expenses and participate in monthly profit and loss reviews
  • Partner on recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training, and performance management
  • Develop and retain long-term clients through clientele and CRM programs
  • Resolve customer issues within established guidelines and escalate when necessary
  • Execute daily store operations, including logistics, stock flow, inventory control, floor readiness, POS, cash handling, banking, and opening/closing procedures
  • Draft store schedules, monitor floor coverage, and manage headcount and payroll budgets
  • Execute merchandise and visual standards, monitor product performance, and partner with the visual associate
  • Assume responsibility for store operations, team leadership, and business results during the Store Manager's absence
  • Report to the Store Manager and liaise with headquarters and regional partners in merchandising, HR, operations, and marketing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in retail management or related role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience in retail, luxury retail or service-oriented organization preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts as needed
  • Previous client book preferred
  • Financial Management experience
  • Ethical conduct must lead by example
  • Learning Orientation and ability to train and teach
  • Performance Management
  • Leadership, comfortable having difficult conversations
  • Elevated market awareness and networking skills
