About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct proactive outreach to healthcare providers on product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance
  • Engage customers through virtual and digital tools
  • Direct healthcare providers to other colleagues, such as Medical Science Liaisons, as needed
  • Facilitate speaker programs
  • Organize local provider groups to discuss experiences and outcomes with local and regional leaders
  • Elevate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead
  • Inform local strategy and business goals through market insights
  • Coordinate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support colleagues
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare provider customers
  • Provide complex on-label information based on approved content
  • Track territory progress and uncover opportunities using competitive data, sales data, business reports, and promotional budgets
  • Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures
  • Utilize promotional materials and internal support team resources
  • Overcome objections and influence prescribing habits during office calls
  • Identify professional groups and network with potential key opinion leaders
  • Build relationships with office and practice personnel
  • Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references
  • Provide accurate information to accounts and support improved patient outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales territory
  • Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or a related industry
  • 4 or more years of experience working in a sales role with healthcare providers, ideally representing multiple products
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation
  • Proven track record in coaching, training, and mentoring peers or others
  • Commitment to ethical business practices and understanding of regulatory standards
  • Ability to execute business activities in compliance with Company policies and guidance
  • Ability to assimilate and communicate complex clinical and product information
  • Knowledge of territory and business conditions impacting sales results
  • Ability to use sales data, competitive data, business reports, and promotional budgets for territory analysis and business planning
  • Knowledge of payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures
  • Knowledge of approved marketing materials and technical references, including studies and package inserts
  • Competent knowledge of own products and competition
