About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage healthcare providers using in-person, virtual, and digital tools
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HCP customers
  • Conduct proactive outreach on product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance
  • Direct customers to other colleagues, such as CSS, as needed
  • Facilitate speaker programs
  • Organize local provider groups for discussions with local and regional leaders
  • Ensure customer requests are met and solicit engagement feedback
  • Collaborate with the ecosystem team to adjust targeting and call point plans compliantly
  • Use customer insights to inform local strategy and business goals
  • Elevate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead
  • Analyze territory and business conditions using competitive data, business reports, sales data, and promotional budgets
  • Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures
  • Utilize approved promotional materials and technical references
  • Build relationships with office and practice personnel
  • Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations to help HCPs enhance patient outcomes
  • Report directly to the Area Business Lead and coordinate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must have at least one of the following experiences: 2+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience; less experience considered for employees who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program
  • 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience, in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement experience
  • 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with demonstrated patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-focused responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and translate scientific data into clear, practical value propositions
  • Strong commitment to ethical business practices and understanding of regulatory standards
  • Ability to execute business activities in compliance with company policies and guidance
  • Ability to assimilate and communicate complex clinical and product information
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of 50 miles from Columbus, GA
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Field travel by car daily
