About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the launch and ongoing growth of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise
- Communicate complex clinical data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and patient support information
- Engage ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, and key non-clinical stakeholders
- Drive performance while collaborating with cross-functional partners and external customers to support optimal patient care and Otsuka’s goals
- Launch and market the FUS-ALS treatment and support future rare neurology programs
- Educate stakeholders on disease-state awareness, screening, and diagnostic pathways
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders
- Support prescribing through Otsuka access and patient support programs
- Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings
- Develop strategic account plans using customer feedback, market intelligence, and diverse data sources
- Navigate ALS Centers of Excellence, identify stakeholders, document process flows, and advance Otsuka objectives
- Address treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and therapy initiation barriers
- Work with Market Access and Patient Support to address reimbursement and therapy-access barriers compliantly
- Map referral networks and patient journeys, identifying barriers to diagnosis, referral, genetic testing, counseling, and treatment
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address customer and patient needs
- Use Otsuka platforms and technology to document account contacts, IDN process flows, and referral patterns
- Complete meetings, training programs, and certifications on brand strategy, disease state, messaging, compliance, and engagement policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma commercial field strategic roles; 10+ years preferred
- Experience in new product launches
- Center of Excellence and IDN navigation, including KOL engagement
- Rare and/or ultra-rare disease experience
- Cross-functional field team coordination
- Background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or gene therapy account management strongly preferred
- Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN prioritized but not required
- Proven track record of success, including consistent Top 30% ranking over a minimum of 2+ years or achievement awards
- Must reside in the Southeast region
- Compliance with approved clinical resources, messaging, business acumen training, Otsuka policies, and applicable HCP and patient engagement policies
