About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Verify and validate data moving into or out of systems, identifying ETL pipeline issues and inaccuracies
Establish and maintain a Power BI Center of Excellence with reusable templates, design systems, and self-service enablement materials
Serve as the internal Power BI expert and resource
Conduct Power BI training and lunch-and-learns for the broader organization
Lead collaboration with data architects to define data-system development
Create semantic models and optimize ETL processes for internal and external data ingestion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine data requirements
Provide technical guidance and coaching to data-team members
Set standards for Power BI dashboard and report creation
Define and manage data-quality standards, guidelines, and processes
Oversee creation and maintenance of data-quality metrics
Develop and maintain ETL-development standards
Own the ETL code release-management process, including version control
Design and implement layered security using RLS, OLS, and workspace roles for human and AI-agent access to certified semantic models
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics
Follow safety policies and contribute to a safe working environment
Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required; experience in lieu of degree may be considered
Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
Minimum of six years of experience in an IT or analytical role required
Experience in database development, report writing and/or statistics preferred
Power BI experience required
DAX, Power Query and/or SQL experience required
Ability to comply with data governance and data security requirements
Knowledge of ETL pipelines and processes
Knowledge of semantic models, data visualization, and dashboard/reporting standards
Knowledge of RLS, OLS, and workspace roles
Ability to work in Fort Collins, Colorado on a hybrid schedule
