About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Discuss, plan, build and test new features
- Bring learnings from previous roles and experiences to build new fintech innovations for businesses
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define the user experience
- Triage and fix bugs, often working directly with users
- Manage code reviews through Pull Requests while maintaining unit tests and quality
- Help migrate modules into independent micro-services
- Work on product features affecting tens of thousands of customers
- Contribute to new product efforts and help take ideas to market
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of professional experience working on web applications using modern software engineering processes
- Proficient in Python and Django
- Expertise in Django is must
- Debugging complex database performance issues
- Built performant and scalable backends and made pragmatic tradeoffs
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely
- Experience working in an early-stage startup is a huge plus
- Fintech / Accounting experience is a nice to have
- ERP / Accounting Systems integrations experience is a nice to have
- Exposure to Purchase Orders is a nice to have
- AWS DevOps is a nice to have
- Product sense is a nice to have
