About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and administer global compensation and equity policies and programs
- Govern the job architecture behind global rewards programs
- Determine market rates for jobs
- Manage survey participation and benchmark vendor relationships
- Maintain the global salary band structure as the organization expands into new roles and geographies
- Administer merit, promotion, bonus, and equity grant programs end to end
- Manage program eligibility, system testing, and budgeting partnerships with Finance
- Evaluate new jobs, promotions, offers, and reclassifications
- Partner with Recruiting and People Business Partners to form and deliver recommendations
- Stay current on pay regulations, including FLSA, EEOC, pay transparency, and pay data reporting obligations
- Build analyses and reporting from HRIS, payroll, and survey data on pay equity, competitiveness, and retention
- Deliver ad hoc requests for the People team, executives, and the Board
- Design rewards communications and education for employees and managers
- Improve reward processes and programs using available tools, including AI
- Report to the Director, Total Rewards & People Operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in compensation or total rewards at a high-growth company
- Experience owning substantial compensation or total rewards scope
- Experience running annual merit cycles and equity refresh grants from design through communication and delivery
- Hands-on experience evaluating and matching roles to survey data
- Experience constructing and maintaining salary ranges
- Ability to defend salary-range methodology
- Expert-level Excel skills
- Track record building and maintaining complex models for range analysis, cost scenarios, and cycle planning
- Ability to interface with and influence Recruiting, People Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders through the VP and C-suite
- Comfort with HR tools, including Workday and Lever
- Working knowledge of pay regulations and practices, including FLSA, EEOC, pay transparency, and pay data reporting obligations
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with care
- Motivation to learn, take on more, and grow alongside the function
